MADE IN EUROPE - participation fee, duration two days, seminars in the morning, workshops in the afternoon - Seminar on New Challenges of Vocational Education - Workshops
The seminar aims at creating discussion about the current state of vocational education and its reformation needs in the midst of global and European development under change. European point of view is regarded an important emphasis, and Finland’s 10 years as an EU-member is an important subtheme. Seminar is mainly held in English, but Finnish is also used in the workshops. Topics: - labour force situation and its changes, problems in choice of trade, trade substance reforms, European contents of vocational training, competence test development work, international comparability of training, on-the-job learning models, regional differences in carrying out vocational training, personal curricula, special teaching Workshops according to themes: 1. Success story - Finland in the international comparison of success in studies 2. Where did the appreciation of craftsmanship go? Are our students just theoretically skilled? - strategic (BSC) and quality management (EFQM), net-aided teaching - new applications of information technology in different trades etc. 3. Special teaching and adjusted curricula
